I am a 23 year old freelance photographer, currently living and working in Central London.
My
background is a bit unusual. I am mainly self-taught at photography. I bought
my first camera 8 years ago and began taking pictures of pretty much
anything, then started to develop a personal style. I
first graduated in 2007 with a DUT in Communication from the
University of Grenoble. My love of photography
nurtured my desire to pursue my studies within a creative field and I then graduated in 2008 with a BA Honours in Graphic
Communication from the University of Wolverhampton. I am now about to
complete a Masters degree in Communication Design - PHOTOGRAPHY at the
prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design.
Influences
I
have always had a lot of imagination and I am always day-dreaming. I
get inspired by anything, there is no limit. Dreams, music, film,
everyday moments, morning sun shining through my curtains, strangers
telling me their stories on the bus... I like
seeing the best in everyday things. Special moments that you would like to keep
frozen for a very long time... creating atmospheres. I love bubble baths,
smelling my polaroids, staring at them while they develop and drinking black
coffee without sugar because it makes people react very strongly. I perceive
numbers and letters with colors and personalities, and I want to meet a
leprechaun in Ireland someday, that is one of my 100 things to do before I die.
I do
believe being one of a kind is one of my strenghts and this is something that
manifests itself in my work.
